Wet Moon 6 page 30

Fall and Slicer are two of my favorite characters to write, i love the dynamic between them and Audrey overall, i wish i could find more pagetime to give them. this particular conflict between the three of them is difficult but i like the challenge. i like trying to figure out how to present each of their sides of the conflict without making them either 100% likeable or 100% unlikeable.

i wrote a high-school-era flashback of Audrey and Slicer showing them in their early days, before Audrey got sucked into Slicer's whirlpool of trouble, but it got cut. hopefully it'll make it into volume 7.

if all goes like it's supposed to, Wet Moon 6 comes out in book form in just a couple weeks!!!! :O

  1. aww man!! i really want to see Slicer/Audrey flashback!

i really like the parts with Slicer even though he kinda disgusts me, haha, i dunno why. i guess because of your writing of him, like you said. :) and Fall, haha. she reminds me of so many girls i went to middle/high school with.

  2. FINALLY, FALL! She's one of my favourites besides Penny. I'm curious to see the flashback you mentioned, it reminded me of that one flashback to Cleo's high school days when she had long hair x) she looked nice with the long hair :c I think I like it better than her current hair.

    1. that's what Audrey's flashback would have been like, that same time period as long-haired high school Cleo. Audrey would've had her own different look, different hair, etc.

  3. yeah, like Kaylie said, Fall reminds me of so many people I've known... so it's interesting to see you tackling this issue of consensual statutory rape, because I feel like it's something that happens all of the time but people rarely confront it in an honest way.

    1. it's a tough issue, not only because of the obvious humanistic elements like who the individual people are, what constitutes a decision, how self-aware are these people and how do you even measure that, but in the laws are different not only in every country but in every American state, some of the exceptions and close-in-age laws can get convoluted and it makes the issue even more complex and muddled.

  4. I dont comment much but I absolutely love Wet Moon of course :) I have all the books and I read em over and over and they never get old!

Well to offer up my opinion on this page uh...to no one in particular..I kinda find both Slicer and Fall disgusting and 100% unlikeable >.>

I used to LOVE Slicer! I first thought he was so cool and funny and adorable now he goes and pulls a stunt like this!? I just couldnt believe it! How could he?? But I never liked Fall. I dont know if its just me but ever since she showed up and had Cleo buy cigarettes for her, she always seemed like a trailer-trash bitch. And I KNOW some people like her and they are entitled to their opinions! And bitches still have their role in every great work of literature just like I'm sure Fall does.

But yeah I still adore Wet Moon and am completely dedicated to this powerful comic! :p

    1. thank you for reading!! :D haha, sorry about Slicer, i hope you're not mad that i took him in this direction. i think you're one of the first people who ever liked Slicer at all even to begin with, most people seem to think he's always been a jerk! i like hearing people's differing opinions and sympathies toward the characters, though, i never know how people will react and which characters will end up being favorites and which end up being hated. very interesting! i appreciate your thoughts. :)

  5. What you need Fall is a need brain... a babysitter isn't of any use at this point -.-
